Took a break from writing to go for a drive. Didn’t feel like going to the beach today (boo hoo right?) so Ryan and I went towards South Sound with the intent on going to the East End. Didn’t happen though as we detoured through to some hidden pathways along south sound enticing us with “beach access” signs. Despite being only 100 square miles, there are still nooks and crannies of this Island that I have yet to discover. For example, today we went to Dart Family Park for the first time and found millions of little hermit crabs, sea snails and chitons in the volcanic speckled rock. There were even fossilzied conch shells embedded into the lava. The park itself is well shaded with a playground and a little house.
Ryan commented: “Found a place on the beach. But ceilings are a bit low”
