Ryan’s back in town for the summer though the day we arrived it wasn’t very summery. Today was really nice so we spent the afternoon outside at Portside Park or Crab Park. The dog is not very good at judging the direction of the ball as you can see.
I’ve also been experimenting with the New York Times’ 36hr chocolate chip cookie recipe. Letting the dough rest in the fridge for 36hrs is supposed to yield the perfect cookie. This is the last of the 3 batches. I think it tasted pretty good. Ryan had the arduous task of sampling all 3 batches and agreed they were good. Crispy on the outside, chewy in the middle (but not undercooked) and very well caramelized throughout.
He couldn’t wait for the last batch to cool so took matters into his own hands. A good sign of a winning recipe right?
As you can see the dog is also thrilled with Ryan back home. Someone to bug him throughout the day.
